I'm Belgian myself and found that this museum is far more interesting than the ages old, badly cleaned 'exhibitions' in the citadel etc., if you're in Dinant I would recommend doing the detour. It's relatively small but well organised so you can spend quite some time. Very friendly at the reception as well and a lovely bistro/restaurant a couple of houses next to it. There's a selection of medieval clothing replica's at the end if you wish to dress up and take pictures

A wonderful little museum in a beautiful area. The exhibits are very multilingual and interactive. Don't expect a large museum experience, just enjoy the variety of displays available, and make sure that you visit the castle ruins afterwards.

Its a small museum which talks about how the town was since medieval times. There are recreations and installations as well as a few articles from archaeological excavations. Currently the cellar of the site is used for conducting events!

A charming town museum covering the history of the Maas valley with a focus on the Medieval and Renaissance periods. The exhibits have English translations and are an excellent guide to the region's history. Well suited for children as well.

近くの街、ディナントを訪ねた後に川沿いをドライブして立ち寄りました。小さな博物館ですが展示が工夫されていてコンセプトがよく分かります。古典衣装がきれいに保存されていて気に入りました。美術館の受付の若い女性がとても親切で美術館について分かりやすい英語で説明してくれましたし歓迎されていることがよく分かりました。美術館の近くに展望できる場所があり、すぐ裏まで車でいけますが下から歩いて行くこともできます。展望台は昔の城のようで川や街の眺めがきれいに見えます。ただ、足場がよくないので雨の日は気をつけて行ったほうがいいと思います。

Musée de quelques pièces, très orienté vers les enfants. Ne pas hésiter à demander les petits livres de jeux et de recherche, pour les petits et les grands, pour quelques euros. Compter entre 1h et 2h pour la visite et le jeux de recherche. Très instructif. Chapeau !
