Fantastic experience. Wonderful place to pay homage to Saint Loukas. Large monastery so allow at least 2 hours to walk through and see every detail. Inviting outside square to enjoy a coffee and reflect on your visit. Make sure to visit the gift stores and support the local traders who use the profits to support the monastery.

Most well preserved byzantine monastery in Greece. With amazing wall paintings with saints from middle age . A visit is a must for everyone.

Beautiful and tranquil place of peace, that already exists for more than a thousand years. We loved it. We visited on a Sunday morning, just when the service ended, so it was lively with Greek people around here.

One of the most beautiful monasteries I’ve ever seen in Greece. Museum, ancient oil press and chapel. And figs, walnuts, pomegranates.

A BEAUTIFUL PLACE with beautiful surroundings. Definitely worth seeing. However, we had a very bad experience with the guy selling the tickets. Their website said they close at 5, which was actually 4 - we still arrived at 15:15 so had enough time - BUT the man started to close the rooms/buildings at 15:40 ready to go home. We were shocked since who knows when we'll have the chance (ever) to come back here again. Iit is a sacred place - respect should be essential even towards the visitors.

Amazing UNESCO protected, 11th century byzantine monastery with beautiful mosaics and impressive interior. Overlooking a beautiful valley with cypresses and olive trees. You can sit at the yard after your visit and enjoy a coffee or some local products they sell there.
