Lovely garden centre that is very well kept with neat and tidy aisles and products that are easy to find. Staff are very good and help with all your requests especially the advice area within the plants section. Restaurant is clean and tidy with a good food offering. Prices are a little higher than what you’d expect but overall a very good experience.
Dobbies is probably on of my fav garden centre there is lots to choose from and they have a big variety of different fish.all the staff are polite and are friendly. I definitely recommend trying it out.
Went for breakfast today with my very fussy son. I have been a bit like the Covid Police and i have to admit that for our safety, i have bee n choosey about where to eat! I am picky about hygiene rating anyway, but Covid has made this more important. You give your nane and number for track and trace upon entry to the restaurant which thankfully is strictly controlled. Absolutely brilliant service! The staff are super nice, friendly and super helpful. My son is very fussy not liking this and that and they were more than happy to change items on his breakfast. Our breakfast was delivered to our table steaming hot and there were no complaints. An empty plate and a full tummy and all on a 'Rishi deal' for 11! The attention to detail on capacity was brilliant, tables were thoroughly cleaned and sanitised as were the chair arms and i felt totally at ease, no stress, no worries and we had a walk around the garden centre too. I can honestly say the AA award for Covid safety is well deserved. I wish all venues adopted the policies and practices demonstrated today. A great visit. Get there early or the queues for brekkie build quickly!
Fantastic garden centre with every need for the garden, cannot fault it especially since it has been refurbished. However, the restaurant requires urgent professional ergonomics to stop the many problems with cold drinks and food, l had two bacon sandwiches for me and my wife both were stone cold when we sat down as so was the coffee, l complained and they exchanged my order not even with a \sorry\ when we eat the sandwiches they were no different from the original ones we had. !! Planters Garden centre restaurant have the answer; whilst waiting for your food order the drinks are hot in which they are served first, when the food arrives that too is hot all because they have waitress service. When the table clearer at Dobbies clears the tables the trolley she stacks with finished plates etc stays put so she goes back and forward over and over, however if she took the trolley with her to each table the tables would be cleared much quicker, it's all about ergonomics. Whenever a queue appears then there's a problem with the ergonomics.
