Great selection of pasteis, and other Brazilian snacks. The pasteis were good, but not as crispy as I prefer, and were not very hot by the time they arrived. The coxinhas were delicious and the bolo de pote (layer cake in a container) was good. We also enjoyed the caldo de cana (sugar cane juice). One of the staff told us that pretty much everything is imported from Brazil, like the dough for the pasteis and even the coxinhas. She said that as if it was an advantage, and while I understand importing the fruit juices and some harder-to-find products, for the savoury snacks it was off-putting because it screamed NOT fresh in my head. And these things are not hard to make nor is it hard to find the ingredients here. Maybe the difference in currency explains the business model. Not sure.

Tastes of Brazil in Portugal, loved the pastel filled with bacon and cheese and also the Coxinha
This is a real Brazilian beech food, like paisteis and açaís
The food is cheap and very nice also filling. The staff are really nice. They let us sample the puddings before buying the one we liked. Nice little shop.

It's been difficult to find good \caldo de cana\ (sugar cane juice). As you may know, the best juice usually is squeezed just before serving, from fresh produce. The \caldo de cana\ this place serves is as good as any I have tasted. This place also makes great pastels, kibe and other Brazilian favorites. The staff are friendly, many are Brazilians (if you like that; I married one years ago so you can guess my opinion). We are planning to go back; see you there!
Lovely paste is and cane sugar juice friendly service
