Great country pub with scenic views over a windy landscape. Ideal for walkers. A warm welcome, friendly staff and great food. Their signature dish, Lamb Henry is excellent, very tasty and the lamb just falls of the bone. Our third visit and we will be back again!

Great boozer. Lamb Henry is to die for and a must if you've never eaten here before. Get yourself a nice point of Bolt maker or two! Cool well inside this pub and local area well represented. Family run and service is always good be it out for a meal or just to pop in for a pint! Great views too.
This is a lovely quiet place. The views are great and easy access to some great walks.
Random Thursday night meal. Staff were excellent, provided really good service! I think the staff that dealt with us, were called Damon and Sarah - both were brilliant The food was excellent, had a spicy starter and a lovely steak - missus had chicken and really enjoyed it. Would highly recommend and I'm looking forward to our next visit!
Friday steak night Tried the special offer again Hubby and I both had rump steak with chips and vegetables. It comes with a bottle of wine for 25 1.95 extra for onion rings Choice of sauces all 1.95 each Steak was quite good and cooked as requested medium for me, well done for Hubby. We shared a portion of homemade onion rings - lovely. We both had the mushroom sauce, which I found lacked seasoning and thickening, it was very thin and didn't sit on the steak like expected, and as a result dripped all down my blouse. Chips are cooked in advance and I presume kept warm in the oven as dark and soggy when they arrive. Vegetables cooked lovely and slightly al dente which I like Waitress asked how everything had been at the end of the meal and I mentioned the watery mushroom sauce. She said she'd pass it onto chef. I had a cheese board for dessert which again, was lovely, variety good and plentiful. Hubby had jam roly poly with custard and was given a large portion. Wondered if the dessert portions were to make up for the shortcomings with the mushroom sauce?? Enjoyed having a night out but think it will be a while before we return Results food 6/10 Pub 7/10
