Lovely pub, great food and friendly staff. Moored on the Ashby and strolled up for some food and a couple of drinks. Really warm welcome. Happy to allow us in with our two little dogs too. Really lovely food. Highly recommend a visit.

We dined at the Dog & Hedgehog as a spur of the moment Sunday lunch out. We called ahead to check availability (table for 2) and the friendly staff were able to fit us without any issues. The Sunday lunch menu had a very large selection of main meals to choose from including the traditional Sunday roast with a great choice of meats. The Sunday roast was well presented and accompanied by a selection of seasonal vegetables and cauliflower cheese, which was AMAZING! Every element of the dish was delicious, in particular the meat was plentiful, perfectly cooked and well carved.
Our first time here..to celebrate our daughter's birthday. A beautiful place, lovely staff and a great Sunday lunch. Would definitely recommend. Top marks!
Found this place by accident and it turned out to be a great find. Lovely food, friendly staff and dog friendly. We aren't local but are likely to be in the area again at some point so will visit again.
Lovely location, friendly staff. Reasonably priced drinks. Great view from the pub garden while the sun is setting. Highly recommended and will definitely come back again
