I am an American, visiting Nice. I found this litttle thrift shop on accident while wandering the beautiful market. Nice is an exceptional place, but the only affordable things in Nice were the coffee, patisseries, and the Galerie Dominicains consignment store. I don’t prefer spending more money, when I can spend less. So, when I walked into this secondhand store and saw the low low prices, I was very happy. I brought three people in with me that had no interest in shopping. Each of us bought several lovely items for very little money. It seemed to me that the merchant should have been charging us much more than he did. He was robbing himself. I bought a tasteful jacket, scarf, and floppy hat for less than ten Euros. The shop wasn’t full, so the selection is limited, but it was choice items. I’m not an antique dealer, but it seemed to me that the items were very fine, high quality, and very tastefully chosen by the merchants. They are also open during lunch, they were having their meal behind the counter as I shopped.

Le Couvent des Dominicains composé principalement de l'église Saint Vincent de Paule située rue Saint Vincent de Paule, presque en face de l'opéra, à quelques mètres du parking Saleya. Il ne s'agit pas d'une église disposant d'une décoration baroque clinquante et pompeuse comme l'est Sainte Reparate, mais d'une église simple,..., qui mériterait nettoyage profond, pour mettre en valeur certains tableaux, et certaines chapelles latérales.
