I bought my first house in October with Preston Baker; Charlotte and Gemma were my contacts for the purchase. Both ladies were an absolute delight to deal with. Came back to me straight away with answers to any queries and were happy to call me to discuss things in finer detail if needed. Really couldn’t recommend them highly enough, they really did make buying the house a joy (and we all know buying & selling homes is stressful), from my first viewing, telling me my offer was accepted (& listening to my tears of joy and surprise) to completing and arranging for the keys to be dropped. DO NOT TRUST THE LETTINGS TEAM!!! Preston Baker do not conduct thorough background checks. The tenant that was recommended to us was a 'professional tenant' who we later had to evict. Preston Baker were no help in pursuing our rental arrears and only after the tenant had been evicted did we receive a PDF file titled 'xxxReferenceFail.' Why would Preston Baker source a tenant that had failed his reference check? Well, they still charge a full management fee regardless of whether the landlord is receiving any rent!! So there's no incentive on their part to find a suitable tenant - more just to get any tenant in quickly and keep their fees. And their complaints procedure is a joke! Cowboys.
