Ceviche and sashimi are fabulous. The fish is fresh and as described earlier, the owners are Peruvian with Japanese food knowledge.
Nikkei is a bar which functions mainly as a restaurant. The original owners were members of the Japanese community established in Peru. The food reflects this background, Japanese with Pisco Sour. Maybe due to the origins in Peru the food is a lot cheaper than in most Jaoanese restaurants. This is still basically a bar with a few tables so things are very informal. Well worth a visit and still not discovered by the tourists.
Best place in San Sebastián. We lived and now often return to San Sebastian. This is by far our favorite place in town. Peruvian-Japanese cuisine, charming place, friendly chef. Try salmon teriaky, salad with burrata cheese or Ceviche...
Meh. Sushi bar with okay food but the ambiance is not very nice. We stopped by because it was next to our airbnb, but we should have gone further for something a bit better. It wasn’t expensive though.
