Jan I think you have an in-depth integer of intellect in the area of alternative medicine. You have great products. I believe you have a big heart and it is in the right place. I just wish you would have a little more patience and not assume that I am questioning what you know when I am simply asking a question. Sometimes I just want your feedback so I can compare what you know with what I know. If there is something you know that I don't it is very valuable to me. We never stop learning.

This cashier literally told me you can just die from type 1 diabetes. Then justified her reasoning by explaining how she is a nurse. You cant just "die from type 1 diabetes". You can die from complications from diabetes, you can die from an extremely high or low blood sugar. Google and a freaking endocrinologist (actual diabetes doctor) both can tell you that. One star for lack of education on a serious subject and saying diabetes is a terminal illness that you can just die from when in actually it's nothing about it that is terminal as long as you manage it. Thank goodness I am a big reviewer. I'll have some of my people come and see how she acts towards the subject in the future.

I love this store and the way it’s set up. After moving to Dothan from Florida, leaving my beloved local health store in Destin, I was so happy to see Jan’s!! I’ve been in 3 times now, and every time she’s been more than helpful and hospitable. She’s very knowledgeable about products and how to use them.. as well as which conditions require what. She has a discount program, too! I’ve been buying online since my move but NO MORE. If I need something she doesn’t have, Jan will order it for me. 10/10 highly recommend!

Awesome health store. Tons of products from vitamins, health food supplements & more. Owner Jan & helper are both extremely friendly & helpful. Completely knowledgeable about products they are selling & go out of their way to help you out. Been going there for about a month now & everytime I go in I feel like I'm going to a friends house. They greet me by name, ask how I'm feeling, even ask me about my husband. Super nice, down to earth people! Can't say enough great stuff about them.

Moving from up North where there are ample organic, health, and nutrition stores, this was the only place I found what I wanted. Her prices are comparable or lower to the other stores I frequented in the area. aka Jan's Health Foods. Jan is a Master herbalist, I having a research lab background, find that she is extremely knowledgeable in what I am trying to achieve in my health. I suffer from MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivities) and I don't have to worry about obnoxious incense, or fragrances being used. She understands what is toxic and what is not. I have even researched her brands with what I found them online for and they were all comparable or close enough to keep me supporting a local business.
