Charles River Creative Arts Program was founded in 1970 to provide an environment in which young people could pursue and develop an interest in the arts. Students pick their own schedule from a wide range of classes in the visual and performing arts as well as sports and writing. At CRCAP, young people can pursue current interests or investigate new areas of endeavor. We offer two four-week sessions for children ages 8 to 15. Programs based on the CRCAP model have been established in 20 states, including six other programs in Massachusetts. CRCAP-inspired programs have also been initiated in Geneva, Switzerland, and Hong Kong. At the Charles River Creative Arts Program, everything is by choice. Campers select from over 135 exciting courses in visual art, dance, theater, music, video, animation, digital photo, textiles, creative writing, sports, and more, to create a summer experience that uniquely reflects their passions. Our professionally accomplished staff inspires young artists from diverse backgrounds to engage in the process of artistic risk-taking. Through collaborative problem solving, our campers discover their individuality and creative potential. Many videos of amazing camper creations/performances at: http://vimeo.com/user30211776
