Ive been visiting Dover Lights for the last 30 years with family and friends. Many of whom have witnessed the lights themselves including me a number of times throughout my life. Honestly there've probably been more nights when the Lights weren't active. But the nights I recall seeing them, some times were spooky other times more exciting, either way it got our adrenaline pumping. Sometimes white other times colored. Awesome place to take your family in the middle of a nice clear night. I would advise going there during the day 1st so that you can see the terrain of the mountains that you will be looking over or down into so that you can understand there's no way those lights could be doing what you're seeing them do. There is a place called Max Pines just up the road on Highway 7 that rents cabins seven days a week 365 days a year, a very family friendly place to stay. Also have an awesome Cafe. As well as campgrounds RV hookups, dumping stations, Electric, and water at most all Sites. Also available to rent is a mobile home sleeps 6 and/or a house that sleeps 5. Both of which are fully furnished with dishes and cooking utensils. You can look them up on Facebook Mack's Pines the new owners by the way are Mr. Greg and Laura Simpson. Might mention, referred by Travis.
Wow. I was amazed. It is on a dirt road, but worth the trip. It is just a few miles from Highway 7. The turn from Hwy 7 comes up sudden so be prepared.
My wife and I were married up there. It will forever be a special place for me. It beautiful up there. You dont always see the light but I've seen them twice in the past 4 years.
Love it up there
Awesome place to watch a sunset or just see a great panoramic view!
Not nearly as intriguing as I was told by others, unless your drunk i guess, judging by the amount of beer cans thrown over the ledge.
This overlook is fantastic..we saw the Dover lights 2.nights in a row!!
