Awesome place. A must see if you are in the area. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the 1800s farm.

Great piece of 1800's history. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. (The carpenter even identified an antique axe I described, then found one to show me.) As a whole, the place is helpful to understand the labors, skills, and hardships of the settlers. Well maintained and period accurate. The Farm is outside, so be mindful of the weather. Visitor Center has clean bathrooms -- very nice!

I've been here 5 or 6 times. It's been several years since my last visit. But today my wife and I went as she had never been. It was very hot to begin with. That doesn't make it easy We got to see the and mules. Very cool. The ladies were quilting on the porch. All the workers were very nice. There were and chickens and a very noisy ...lol. As we ventured towards the back of the farm they had good looking tobacco and 2 big oxen. Granted not much going on but still a fun thing to see. I'll go back again when it's a bit cooler.

I worked at this farm for 4 years. I know all the ins and outs of this place. The staff spend countless hours reading not only modern on their historic trades, but countless primary sources. The women study with extreme detail the stictes in their dresses. What I'm saying is, it's the real deal, they don't just make these things up. The animals there are wonderful, like family. Sometimes people mess with them, so I ask if you visit just please be kind to the animals. All the buildings there are original, mostly all from Land Between the Lakes and have been fixed up and set there. The site the farm sits on is an original farm site that was owned by the Fox Family until 1963. The farm layout is not the original layout.

Love this place so much! I went as a kid with my dad and recently got to go again with my child! I had a great time both times! There's so much to see here and I think everyone should stop by at least once!
