Woman who served us was very friendly. However the food was not great. Steak tasted a little chemically. Think it was grilled instead of fried. Pork chops were very dry and the peppercorn sauce was very plain.

Very very good restaurant with a very friendly waitress. We were looking for local cuisine and everything turned out to be very tasty, flavorful, and as expected. Would recommend to visit and look at the bottles from around the world on the wall

The staff is friendly, but the food is really poor. The price, in Norway, is inexpensive. Quite a lot of elder people go here for beer.

I really loved this restaurant. Tradicional place, good quality and cheap prices. I tried 2 typical Norwich dishes and I enjoyed them.

Great food...local cuisine, affordable prices very friendly staff....we ate here two nights in a row.....recommend salt beef with pork, beef stew, Reindeer steaks or trout with sour cream sauce....all was very good....nothing fancy...honest and tasty food served with boiled potatoes and veggies....

A different experience and a place you might want to go if you want a non touristy experience, and you want to try some genuine Norwegian cuisine. Very affordable and friendly but odd service.

I'm not convinced that many reviews here may be mistaking this place for the Dovrehallen Restaurant downstairs (or vice versa), but it may be worth checking their reviews also. It's easy to miss (I walked past it twice trying to find it) and it's not obvious it's an upstairs room until I caught the sign to the side pointing up the stairs. The overall décor feels like someone's dimly-lit front room, quite relaxing and homely. I was invited to take a seat and immediately presented with an array of condiments and a drinks menu - so partook in a pint of their local lager. I found the waitress a bit stern and functional, as though she had been called in on her day off or resented working there. I read earlier reviews that service can be that way, but overall I didn't encounter any outright rudeness. I don't recall them having Wifi either. For meal choices, I had pork in sauce - medallions of pork in a rich gravy, accompanied by a baked potato and a side salad with some pink dressing drizzled (I could have done with the dressing to the side). It was a cheap meal which did okay, but but not hugely welcoming service - I didn't feel as though they were particularly desperate for customers so don't have any reason to return.
