We love Downers Grove pediatrics. All doctors have been responsive, caring, and helpful. We have been going Downers Grove Pediatrics for the past 4 years. Last time we had Dr. Akhtar for the first time, and we liked her very much. She made us feel comfortable and answer all our questions.

Excellent Doctors and friendly staff. I’ve never had to wait. The office is immaculate and has an area designated to sick/possibly contagious children. The front desk staff is friendly. All the doctors have been friendly and knowledgeable.

We've had met all doctors in the past few years. Dr. Janecek can do a little better explaining to patients, but she's Very responsible. She called on the same day after the sick visit to ask why my kid had't get an x-ray, because She diagnosed it could be pneumonia. My kid got the X-ray result next day. Dr called again on her day off to explain the result. Btw, the nurses always calm me down when i called to ask questions and advised when to visit the doctor.

Dante's Inferno

My family has been going to Downers Grove Pediatrics for a year and a half now as I was referred to them from some friends of mine who live in the area. I was told to ask for Dr. Cabana, but when he wasn't available for my son's 3 day check-up we had to see someone else and we were given Dr. Sheehan. It was a blessing. I'm a first time father and that 3 day check-up was sleep deprived and full of anxiety. Dr. Sheehan gave advice about how all of us could sleep better but most importantly, she was patient and listened to us. Some doctors in general don't even want to sit down, they have a foot out the door while you're still talking, but not Dr. Sheehan. Up to this day when I bring in my questions for my son's development every 3 months, she sits, listens and answers all my questions without making me feel rushed or like I'm bothering her. She's very pleasant to be around and has a good personality when she talks to you. We always request to go to her for all our check-ups. We couldn't ask for a better doctor for our son. When we would call with questions for the nurse, as promised, they do call back within 2 hours with an answer to our question. Very much appreciated. The only part that I can say about this office which some people have mentioned already, is SOME front desk staff aren't very friendly on the phone. One time there was a phone system glitch and I was transferred to the front desk instead of the nursing desk and I got scolded for hitting the wrong button even though I automatically went right to the front desk. A simple, \I'll transfer you\ would have been fine, the attitude of this lady was unnecessary. I still give 5 stars despite the occasional disappointing front desk service just because the wait times are always short, the nurses are good (especially quick with giving the shots) and friendly, and again Dr. Sheehan not only knows her profession, but she provides great customer service and excellent bedside manner.
