Amazing! Prefect ambiance. Great food. Nice service. I spent 4 years in Europe and this restaurant brings me back more than any other in the area.

The overall experience was one that has moved Stella Rossa to my second favorite italian restaurant in the suburban Philadelphia area. The atmosphere was inviting and the food was delicious without charging insane prices. My only complaint was our experience with our server. He whisked away our complementary bread while I was in the middle of a bite without any question of whether we were finished. He also seemed uninterested in helping at all by vanishing before our meal arrived. Overall, I will be going to this place regularly, but I will ask for a different server.
Great ambiance, the place is in a historic building with exposed masonry walls etc. The appetizers were very enjoyable - particularly the cured meats and cheeses. Had the veal saltimbocca entree and it was nicely done. Service was good, all staff were friendly. Would go back!
This restaurant was ok; the food was reasonably priced, the atmosphere was nice and the pizza wasn't too bad. This restaurant would have sufficed nicely for a casual Friday night dinner; however, the service I received was absolutely horrible! I have never been to a restaurant where I felt the need to complain about how rude and negligent the servers were. I recommend getting takeout and not dining in.
This place is great. The outdoor section is so peaceful considering the location, the entire restaurant has a nice design aesthetic and the food has never let me down!
I read the posted comments before deciding to try myself.. I immediately experienced the terrible service upon entering the restaurant.. At roughly 9:15pm on a Friday night, me and my wife had to ask to be seated after standing at the host station for a few minutes along with some employees who looked as if they just finished their shifts, who paid us no mind as we waited for service.. the manager seemed aloof as to who should be seating us. The host was summoned and we were taken to our seats.. the menus were torn and stained. Drinking glasses were filmly. The food was only OK compared to the atmosphere which the restaurant was trying to perceive. I had pizza and my wife ordered a ceasar salad. All in all.. My wife and I feel that Olive Garden is a better option for prompt service and a better variety of Italian cuisine. I would not recommend.
Great location, great servers, below average food for the price. You would expect more than the typical, "olive garden" type of menu and taste at a restaurant like this. I would rather eat locally but not when the food taste like this which is a disappointment.
We sat outside and the ambiance out there is great. They have nice lighting and a view of a little stream outside. The food is very good. I ordered the fu fu pizza, a little greasy for my liking but still very good. The downfall at Barra Rossa is the service. It is quite slow and inefficient. Our bread came out about 30 seconds before the food came out and the food came out fairly late. I did not mind waiting around because I really enjoyed the scenery outside. I would recommend Barra Rossa if you have time to spend at dinner. I would not recommend Barra Rossa for an occasion where they might be busy. The service would be too slow.
