I'm patient so I don't care about waiting 8 hours. The thing is that between 8PM and 4 AM, no one came to clean nor sanitize the chairs or anything at all in the emergency room. the floor was dirty with trash everywhere. With covid, especially in a hospital, shouldnt it be sanitize at least between every patient?

I was actually extremely surprised at the short wait times, I was there from 8am-11:30am in the ER. During that time I saw the doctor, had x-rays and then saw the doctor again. My ONLY complaint is the Triage Nurses... I explained the reason for my visit and they looked at me and asked, "So what are you looking for today!?" If you don't think I need to see a doctor, please just lead with that so I can go home and not think I'm dying. Also it is kinda dirty but it just looks like they need more funding for building repairs.

My baby was delivered at George Dumont Hospital and I had an excellent experience. The staff there is very professional and kind.

Worst hospital ever. ER is so unorganized. We were there with our baby and they skipped our number. They told we will be next but they name other names... They told us again that we will be next but yet other name... When you have a 5 month old that has fever for 60 hours and you wait about 8 hours at the hospital and got 0 service this is horrible!!!. We tried the small clinics but they dont take babies.... 811, 16 hours wait time... Our last resort was hospital to sit there and have nothing... Worst hospital ever and we are paying taxes for that!!!

The nurses were nicer, the doctors too, plus the dietitians/diabetics, compared to the other major hospital. Extremely compassionate and provided quality care. Out of them, [sorry, forgot her name she was the only one to introduce herself to me but was the first to provide quality and compassionate care, who unfortunately was on her last day for her week's shift...not including whoever previously helped me while I was lucid from far too high of a blood sugar level] and Audrey stood out the most, plus someone I forgot to ask the name of who listened the most to me. Can't rate the ER waiting room though because ambulance bypassed that. But I will say that in Winnipeg, it is typical to wait 7 hours before a doctor sees you (3 or 4 hrs in waiting room plus 4 or 3 hours in patient room), unless about to die (broken bones or burnt skin are not on death'sdoor, despitetheamountof excruciatingpain)...in response to the bad reviewers. THE MEALS for patients? Other than them being typically not hot (which is normal for hospitals due to the busyness), proper and healthy restaurant style food! So I am still pleasantly shocked. Portion sizes are smaller though, of course. LOL Are all francophones better than my fellow anglophones? (only a half serious question)

I couldn’t believe what I just experienced at the ER tonight!!! Out of the blue, I arrived to the hospital with high blood pressure, and I am not a hypertensive person. Had a electrocardiograma done , no heart attack. I was almost crying because of the burning pain on my chest, So, I asked if they could give me something for the pain or bring the blood pressure down because I started having a hard time to breath. Well , I was told to go back to the waiting room, without giving me anything or seeing a doctor yet . I told the assistant nurse in a very calm way that I could not believe that because I wasn’t having a heart attack , I had to endure that crazy pain and keep up with that high blood pressure until I was called again. Well, my friends, just for telling the truth in a very soft way, I experienced the worse way someone can be discriminated and mistreated. An hour later, still with chest pain and tingling all over my face, I asked the triage nurse if she could please take my blood pressure again ( which would be only the second time ) and her answer was , “ I am not a blood pressure taker “ you either way to see the doctor or go home” I couldn’t believe it!!! just for making that comment with the other nurse the other one comes and mistreats me in such a way !! I left the hospital right way with my pain and everything. Called a naturopath friend of mine, and told me what to do. It’s very sad to see what is happening at the ERs. The long waiting time, the lack of compassion and quality care. And yet, patients have no voice on all this. It is no right !! People deserve more respect and better care. I can count with the fingers of one hand, doctors at the ER that really love their profession and give outstanding care. Things gotta change because people don’t talk but they are tired. Run a survey and you will see. .
