In Southwest Florida, as you can imagine, A/C companies are a dime a dozen. And, to try and stand out, most of them offer low prices on maintenance contracts to get their foot in the door, only to tell you that you need a new system as soon as they show up. Dr. Kool Air Conditioning is the first company I've come across who's business model is built around honesty. If your A/C is working fine, they'll tell you. If it's not, they give you estimates on repair AND replacement. The choice is yours, because they are more in the customer satisfaction business than the A/C industry. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

While I haven't needed Dr. Kool's service myself, I know when I do, or when any one I hear needs an honest, reputable, and trustworthy contact in air conditioning, I know who to recommend. They treat their customers how they would want their own families to be treated. The owner stands by his work and if there ever is a mistake by him or his employees, he makes the situation right for his customers.

Being a snowbird, I entrusted this company to do a proper installation, unsupervised. When you look at the picture, you will see that they cut corners on the installation. What you see is all the tubing in FRONT of the AC. They should have installed it to the side. Because of this, it is next to impossible to remove the air filter without a struggle. It usually ends up being damaged. Furthermore, I am unable to use standard filters with the unit. Good luck getting guests or tenants to maintain your first while you are renting your place out. In order to fix up this mess, it would end up costing as much as a new installation. I am now stuck with this.
