Hard to give anything in Colorado a bad rating because of the beauty. This was a nice pull off area, but I wouldn't really consider it a park. Had a few walking trails and an area to swim with a very strong current. In fact I helped save an old woman who got stuck in the current with a 3-year-old. Yikes!

Easy access fly fishing during non peak times. Beautiful little day use area, again, best when no people.

How cute was this! Very rugged (only picnic tables and rocks and the river) but these little antelope squirrels were absolutely everywhere and very used to people. It was a great place to stop and have a picnic, see the Big Thompson River, and let the kids \climb\ on some boulders. Marked this as a favorite spot for next visit (even just for the squirrels!)
It's an amazing place to stop and have a picnic. But don't yall go there, you will crowd up my favorite place. Lol On 2nd thought avoid this place like the plague because the headless horseman roams the shores looking for his head....ooooo stay away.
