I bought a Paris Banchetti classical guitar. Dream Guitars took my credit card number up front, shipped the guitar, and withheld charging the card until the end of the 72 hour trial period. The guitar arrived in perfect condition and exactly as described. I paid by a wire transfer and was given a cash discount in return!

Thanks to the good folks at Dream Guitars for finding "my" dream guitar - a mint 1996 Benedetto Limelite. Although my guitar has been wonderful to play, I have a rather bad distaste for how I was treated by Paul Heumiller regarding promises made but unkept. Before purchasing a VERY expensive guitar, Paul promised he would produce the assorted documents of provenance pertaining to this instrument. He insisted this would not be a problem in any way - so I took him at his word. Unfortunately, he did not deliver. I contacted him numerous times, and although he did get back to me, the song remained the same: "I am still trying and I have not forgotten you" etc etc, ad infinitum. Well, it has been multiple years now and he still pays the same lip-service when I contact him and have therefore decided to place my trust elsewhere, as clearly he has placed collecting the funds well above customer service and honoring of his commitments. This is unfortunate because he offers a good selection of quality instruments- however, making the sale can never be the prime motivation, and it certainly cannot be placed over and above the specific agreements that are part and parcel of the deal. The buyer should never be mistreated after the check is cashed. Buyer beware.

Great care with shipping (we held off an extra week for mine because no one wants a fine instrument to spend five extra days in a Memphis FedEx transfer point). Worth the wait!

I bought a 2015 Gerald Sheppard Ave Maria from Dream Guitars this weekend. It arrived in a beautiful custom built Ameritage case. The Ave Maria is the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen or played. It had blue paua all over it and has stunning Brazilian rosewood back/sides! And the mellow tone is just mesmerizing to hear! The action is just right, no adjustments necessary. Gerald Sheppard builds incredible guitars. I dealt with Paul and Larry at Dream Guitars. Both of them treated me like I was their only customer throughout the entire process. Both communicated very well and delivered everything as promised. I also went back and bought a case cover from them and, it was delivered the very next day.
