The Badlands and Drumhellar area are a great place to build new and relive many family memories, fun times for children of all ages, riverside campgrounds were very peaceful and family oriented, covid restrictions changed the visit drastically, recommend going in summer months to enjoy all outdoor activities

We went to see the hoodoos and were not disappointed. It takes millions of years for them to form and they stand 5 - 7 meters tall. All the hoodoos have a pillar resting on a thick base of shale and capped by a large stone. Hoodoos are very fragile and can completely erode if the capstone is dislodged. So it is important to follow rules and not to climb onto the hoodoos!

Years ago I hiked here. It is the most otherworldly experience to be here. This place is truly a monument to Dinosaurs. It is on my list to revisit as a great unique Canadian destination.

It is a great place and beautiful geological formation. Unfortunately we did not get the ticket to see the Royal Tyrell museum. Make sure you purchase online before arrival. During hot day this area is pretty hot.

Kids always have fun looking at dinosaurs. And always find out how little you know with the questions they ask. Downside was due to COVID19 and not being able to eat while there
