. My mother inlaw she is 91 years old was admitted yesterday 23/1/21 she has got covid . Pneumonia. Copd. Kidney failure. Yes the staff did there best but she was sent home only after 8 hours. Late at night and minus 2 outside. I cant believe how this is even right . Who in there right mind thinks this is the right decision ?. My whole family are disgusted and we will be taking this right to the top . Russell's hall you should be ashamed. Also when ringing for an update on a relative's condition sometimes it would be nice to be greeted with a nice attitude not a miserable ward Clark on the c5 ward with an attitude. I know it's hard at the moment but whilst we can not be there to see for our selves we rely on information from the staff . My mother inlaw lost her fight on the 4 Feb 2021 . Ward b4 you deprived us of our last face time . Twice we rang to ask for it and twice you said we will call you back . That never happened did it ?. So much for careing it seems to me that if your elderly and got covid .then you dont stand a chance . Some of the staff on c5 and b4 you should be ashamed of your selves. Even the doctor that wrote the death certificate couldn't get that right . How on earth do you mix up ms with multiple strokes ? . Dont worry when we are in a better place we will be making a formal complaint. I will not let this rest until I and my family are justified. I'm fumming.

Clean tidy much better than I thought it would be.
Been in twice in last seven days. The service when you get into a ward, away from the unbelievably busy but coping A&E dept, is nearly as good as private.’ I was in acute medical and every type of nurse, staff and doctor that cared for me were excellent. Food has been much better than an op five years ago as well.
Its used be a great hospital that looks after their patients, but now its a joke. Apart from a nice looking clean hospital
Have had so many bad experiences of this hospital this year. My husband has unfortunately had 4 in patient stays & each time their have been issues. He is unable to do anything for himself & now has vascular dementia. This time they kept him in nearly 3 weeks despite him being medically fit to come home after just over a week. He then refused to eat, drink or let them do personal care. When I finally got him home he was in a terrible state. His insulin had been changed, he was dehydrated, couldn't speak & his sugar & ketone levels were dangerously high. Had to call 111 who sent out paramedics who wanted him to be taken back in but he refused. After several days at home he was eating, drinking & talking again. I'm certain if he'd remained there or gone back in, I'd be a widow by now. Why on earth when someone is fit to come home do they keep them in & watch them slowly dying in front of their eyes.
