Wonderful medical staff, horrible office staff. Had surgery there this week paid everything up front. Asked to speak to office manager, who came out and announced in front of everyone “I understand you may not be able to pay your balance due?” My mouth dropped and I showed her my receipt and informed her that I had just paid her office over 1500 and how dare she say something like that! She then said she was misinformed and I told her my problem was with one of her office staff, Shanae hanging up on me. ( I had already told the other employee that my complaint was about Shanae) a young woman immediately turned around and said I was not rude to you!!! I was furious at the unprofessional actions that this office manager had just shown. I asked to speak to her around the corner where I asked her, how dare she bring up money when I had just paid her office in full, and how dare she put me in that position in front of the employee I had.an issue with. Totally unprofessional. She apologized multiple times and said she would tell her boss what just happened. A few minutes later , Robert, the Administrator, came out to apologize for how unprofessional his staff acted. I told him I was too furious to talk right now. I have now tried calling him for the last 3 days and he will not return my calls. I even had my surgeon’s office email him asking him to call me. No response. Beware of this one lace, they are unprofessional and don’t know how to do business!

I am giving two reviews (1) 5 stars for medical staff and my experience in back. Felt safe, respected and as a healthcare person for 40 years. Everyone was excellent and care great. (2) I am unable to make my second review, I will keep trying though. The front office staff will get 2. Customer service, presentation, attitudes. Like being in two different businesses. Bring extra credit card surprises in insurance fees, we are vulnerable at our age!!! Know your insurance co pay, deductible ect., call insurance company ahead of time. Maybe front desk needs help from “ Tabatha takes over” from YTube.

TAKE YOUR ATTORNEY WITH YOU!! My 1250 out-of-pocket estimate increased to 2500 because they failed to properly check deductibles, but they did not state that until sending the final 900 bill. The SURGERY? Two Stars out of Five. WHY? They OVER-PROMISED the surgery results.. Answer?... Do Not OVER-PROMISE just to get patients. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN DULANEY EYE INSTITUTE / KATZEN.

Dr. Katuria and the staff there are all amazing. My care was 5 stars all the way, from check in to release. The nursing staff was so competent and very caring. They put me at ease, and I admit, I do not like needles , but they were so gentle ...and no bruising...a first ever! The anesthesiologist assured me she would make sure I was comfortable and if at any point I wasn’t to let her know and she would ‘take care of me’ and she did. They talked, even joked, even included me (when I was awake). Dr. Katuria was also amazing. He told me what to expect..no surprises! He was great...btw, he has a great sense of humor. I would refer anyone to him. 72 hours later. Things are going even better than I expected, thank you Dr. Katuria. He is a very good Doctor, and a very personal person.i admire him on both levels. Thank you all for making my ‘visit’ so much easier, you all did an outstanding job.
