I wish I could give negative 5 stars. They have the most inefficient ticketing system I have ever seen. If you arrive at 7:00for A 1030 boat, you will wait in line until around 930-10 only to be told that it is sold out. So now you have to stand and wait there until 11:00 to buy the ticket for the 2:00. There is no priority number so you just have to stand and wait or lose your place in line. And the line literally moved around 15 people or less in this time. Let’s recap.....fastcat has the WORST TICKETING SYSTEM EVER!!! And they say no fixers allowed. But I had several fixers ask if I wanted another boat company and they can buy ticket for me for a fee. These same fixers also are friends with the security guards so don’t expect to be treated fairly here in buying a ticket unless you want to break the law. Plan to be VERY VERY disappointed. And this isn’t just one time. It’s every time I come here, the same routine. FASTCAT TRULY SUCKS AT TICKETING.
The accommodation is a thumbs up but not so much of a customer-centered company. From July-October 2019 my experience with fastcat was horrible. Every Friday I took the 10pm trip to Dapitan which usually left at 12mn-2am. Every Sunday I took the 10pm trip to Dumaguete which usually left at 12mn-2am also. There was a few times that my 10pm trip left at 5am of the following day. I could have slept at home during those hours if they only texted me. So most of my weekend I stayed at the pier. Very disappointing! Their crew also barely smiles opposite to the videos they showed on their promotion or maybe they are just too tired which is considerable.
People work very slow. Not accommodating Crew in the boat are RACIST. We travel from Dapitan to Dumaguete with my 11 months old daughter, sister in law and my niece, heavy rain when we depart from my moms place so we wear like ordinary clothes, when we arrive in business area we couldn't find our place I ask one of the crew and he did not even check my ticket, he look at me and says, upstairs ma'am, economy is upstairs not here, only business class here. I was disappointed and very upset I drop my bag and insist to show him our ticket which is business class he then turn around and walk away from us. I ask another crew, a girl thinking she will kind since I have my 11 months daughter with us, yet it's worse. Our chairs has people on it and she said the online booking is not priority when it comes with chairs assignment. I ask here why you guys allow people to book online but you won't prioritize them, in fact we pay the same price. She did not answer. I told her the reason why I get business class because my daughter is with me, If only me I'm good if you send me to economy even if my ticket is business class. She leave us saying she will check what she can do but she never come back. Eventually we found an empty chairs. JESUS. FAST CAT, TEACH YOUR CREW HOW TO RESPECT PEOPLE!
We use fast cat everytime when we travel to see parents.
It is a stupid idea, that they dont issue advance booking. The only advance booking they have is 2 hrs before their scheduled departure. How stupid.
FastCat boat is faster amongst other RORO boat.... But to buy or get a ticket in Dumaguete..... is soooooooo slow......
