JLH Butcher Shop is one of my favorite food shops in Dumaguete. While hardly a large store, it is an ideal place to purchase certain products not available anywhere else. The sliced ham and the pastrami can't be beat. It's also a good place to buy foreign brands of pickles and sauerkraut.

Very surprised they carried Snake River Farms as it's a supplier I've previously ordered from in the US with good quality meats. I wish they had thicker cuts (\u003e1") and I would certainly be willing to pay for that cost. The salmon steaks they have are good, good selection of cheeses and charcuterie. As far as costs go, everything is priced as you would expect to see it in the US, at least for the Snake River Farms and the salmon. Will definitely be shopping here again.

The name of the store has changed but still the same owner. Wide selection of frozen cuts of beef, pork, lamb, USA chicken. Also many presliced deli meats, wines, cheese, a few breads. You can order cuts as well and have them vacuum pack the number if portions you would like per pack. I ordered three cuts of pork and chicken that I'll pick up in a few days. Am taking home half a dozen sliced deli meats to try and a 2 litre Italian Red for just over 600 pesos. Place is very clean and friendly. They had condiments, olives and other tasty items that you'll be hard pressed to find elsewhere in Dumaguete. I'll return here.
