This big supermarket is located around 1km west from downtown Dgte, so it's a bit of an issue for commuting consumers to pick a ride going there, but people keep going there or in that direction anyway and that helps its accessibility. If you have cars or motorcycles parking area there is not an issue.
In Hypermart, aside from the supermarket section, they also have a foodcourt, children's playground, sporting and hardware store, Rose pharmacy, wine, school & appliances, and furniture sections. The prices are competitive, lots of products varieties, and stocks are always available. Their fresh fruits section sells at 50% discount daily when its 1hr before closing time. Except for holidays or peak shopping hours, counter lines are short and fast. They accept card payments, and ATM machines for 3 banks are located near the store's main entrance. Occasionally, activities are held in the wide atrium inside. But most often this area is for displaying on sale items or in season products, like for summer, christmas, start of class supplies. They're open everyday from 9am to 7pm, except on holidays. Sales staffs are courteous and helpful, and do communicate in English well.
LP Hypermart is sister company of Lee Super Plaza, the one well-located at the heart of downtown Dumaguete. And together with Cang's Inc, they are two of the oldest, biggest department stores in this city right from the very start, and up until now even with the presence of newer, big shopping centers.
