Lovely place. Great history lessons written on large cutouts near wall. Main attraction are physical objects like stones (jade, obsidian), wooden swords, etc. (November 2018)

Great collection of prehistoric and early A.D. artifacts excavated locally. Shows the development culture and art from trade with China and more. It has pieces from Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. Well worth 100 pesos. The building is also historic.

The museum is located at the second floor of Hibbard Hall. Entrance is P100 for adults and P40 for students, just present an ID. Senior citizens and PWDs get discounts also. We were told not to take photos of the artifacts but can take pic of the plants and maps at the middle of the display area. There are potteries and hunting tools and gemstones as well as burial jars. Some of the items on display came from Northern Philippines and Mindanao. The museum is small but worth the visit.

Very nice shady place beside the sea, here you can see the oldest house since 1901, by Dr. Horrace Silliman, shades of trees of more than 300 acacia trees around the campus, aircondition school buildings from early childhood to colleges, cottages for faculty and staff and dormitories for boys and girls from different places around Philippines and other Countries..come and visit Silliman Universitity!

For me, it is the best introduction to Dumaguete City because the museum showcases the rich history and culture of the place. There is an option to go with a museum guide or do it on your own. The beauty of a DIY is that it gives you the flexibility of choosing where to start or how long to look --- the place occupies an entire floor of a campus building. The best part of going to the museum is that it opens out to the Silliman University campus which has its own share of landmarks you can visit.

An assortment of pre-colonial and early post colonial items, some minerals and rocks and a summary of the independence movement. Worth a visit.
