Aside from being very holy, the church has good sound system. Well ventilated and has cameras for live coverage? I guess? I am not sure.

Also known as Cathedral. Beside St. Catherine Church is the belfry tower and in front is the Quezon Park. Went there and wedding is ongoing. Beside belfry tower there's also a foot massage and payment is donation only. Just bring your own towel, alcohol and oil.
I wasn't able to visit Dumaguete Cathedral on my previous visits in the city so this time I made sure I'd drop by to offer a prayer as well as take photos of the oldest church in the island of Negros. My husband also took me to the area where they offer acupressure massage. It's just near the entrance. He used to go there when he was a student and he encouraged me to try it too. Getting a massage as well as listening to the discussions about random topics between therapists and clients was very relaxing. A must try experience. :)
When visiting Dumaguete, don't forget to visit St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, you will be amaze on how people of Dumaguete maintain the old structure of the church. Dont forget to light a candle for your prayer. Breathtaking indeed! #Dumagetme
According to the sign posted at the Church this is the oldest stone built Church in the Negros. The first section was built in the 1750s and then other sections were added. I visited during the Good Friday commemoration which was heavily attended. I believe in would enjoy a visit to this historical and meaningful place to the people living in this area.
I have a penchant for really old churches. This is said to be oldest stone church in all of Negros. Dumaguete Cathedral is also the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria. If you take a look at some aerial photos, you'll notice that it has the classic cross configuration for a church. On a hot summer day though, it is still quite pleasant inside.
ThheChurch of the Living God, the pillar and foundation of truth!
Beautiful gothic architecture..that stands the test of time....when venturing the main dome..it was massive...artistically ornated with decoratives adorned the main altar..the column walls was beautifully crafted...high ceiling brass chandelier and arte español lightings....the solemnity of the place tells a story...i really felt..i was blessed...
