Visited her twice while on holiday in the local area. Great place for walking the dog. Loads of space for her to run and enjoy herself. A number of different length walks to try would definitely recommend. Parking rates apply. You can use contact less payment at the machine available at entry to the car park. Just pull into the small lay by there.
Great walks lots of choice for all abilities well worth a visit.
Lots of footpaths and mountain bike routes with great views of the lake District across the Solway Firth. If you're going to park, please pay and display. Don't be a cheapskate and park on the verges or staff areas, the money goes towards the upkeep of the forest that you take for granted.
