This retreat was amazing. There were so many acres of land and various activities going on as well. It was great to see that they were complying to the CDC guidelines also. It's very easy to get relaxed at an event like that. We're looking forward to going again.

Amethyst is an amazing place. While I was there, I was able to arrange several wellness services on-site, and the house was very well-stocked. The forest walk, even through snow, was awe-inspiring, and the deer came to the barn foundation, only a few feet from the house, every morning.

10/10 would not recommend. They opened for the grounds to be walked. The trails are not maintained. There is a house on the property so clearly there is a grounds keeper, but what they have been doing all quarantine is beyond me. The people that were in the porch were not friendly. I waved and say hi and was ignored even though they both looked at me then went on with their convo. I saw the box with maps and got one. The bridge they have in place is not stable or really safe to cross. It resembles a ladder more than a bridge. I am glad the stream was dried up so I got to avoid wet shoes and socks while crossing it. At the area were the Labyrinth is closed for a tree being down that trail is well overgrown even this time of year. The paths are not well defined after that point. The marks are pointing, but the walking paths have not been cleared. There was not a obvious cleaning on the forest floor from foot traffic either. We just pushed through the brush going uphill to try and make it back to the fields so we could get to the parking lot and leave. I had hoped our 45 min drive up would have been slightly worth it, but it was not. The place felt negative and neglected.

Very peaceful and quiet. A great place to get away. The sweat lodge was absolutely amazing and was a wonderful way to cleanse and release.

I had the opportunity to stay at Amethyst for two weeks in November on a personal retreat. The Amethyst Community is a welcoming, caring group of people who made me feel right at home! The house had everything I needed to reconnect with my Spiritual Self: Nature trails, a Labyrinth, a well-stocked kitchen, a sauna, a fireplace in a cozy living room, plenty of good books to read, and an outdoor fire pit. I saw a variety of wildlife, heard a menagerie of birds including my favorite owl each evening at dusk, and enjoyed the stunning sunsets and magnificent, starry sky at night. I am grateful for the Amethyst Retreat Center and the people who care for it and are generous of heart to share it with others...like myself.
