My husband, son and I were just told we couldn’t sit in the back because it’s 21 and up. Our son is 20. It’s the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday and there are zero people in the back. We didn’t want to sit in the front as it was busy and we’re attempting to social distance. I have no idea why Honu feels they need rules that are typical of a club, but we will absolutely never eat or drink there again. We are local to Dunedin. We eat out 3 meals a day. They have lost our business. In this economy and given all of the issues with the pandemic - adding a level of restriction that is not used anywhere else in Dunedin - is absurd. A side note. Our son is a FAA certified commercial pilot. He is old enough to vote, go to war, pay taxes and fly passengers around the world. He just wanted to have a coke with his parents. Do better Honu. Be better.

This place is a pleasant surprise! They have a very expansive menu, but the place has a very nice family feel. The food is very flavorful and tasty. I had the polinesian pie, unbelievable! Really good! Everything they serve is so colorful and has a multitude of flavor profiles that balance well and play with each other. I recommend this place as a great option in Dunedin.

Drinks and ambiance was great but the food was no bueno. Please revisit on how to make rice and all the meat from my party was dry. I really want to enjoy this place being I lived in Oahu but the one thing that told me this was going downhill began with the rice. So please re-educate the cooks.

Laid back. We sat at the outside tiki bar/patio. Had dinner and listened to live music. We had pork loin with asparagus and rice. It was the best pork I've had at a restaurant in a long time! Pineapple upside pound (their spelling) cake for dessert. It was our first time, but we will definitely go again.
