The garden area has a playground, picnic tables, & tennis court on the way up to the gardens. We were here in Spring and not a lot of blooming flowers yet. Fun area for kids, not a huge garden but Dunsmuir is such a neat little Train town along the river.

My husband and I were amazed at the beauty and diversity in this beautiful botanical garden. It's small, but has so much! Lots of rhododendrons and Japanese maples, large trees, small trees, shrubs. A small meadow and lots of paths meandering around the garden. It's dog friendly. There are picnic tables and a short walk to the Sacramento River.

Beautiful little park with playground, picnic tables, open grass meadow, botanical gardens and paths, and stage for small gatherings or concerts (reservations with the City of Dunsmuir). Restrooms on site. Paved parking lot. ADA access to picnic area. River access for fishing. Marked nature paths along the river. Very cool and shady.
