The Durban Point Development is taking shape with incredible speed as the R400m promenade nears completion. The ultimate development is estimated at over R4bn when complete. The 760m promenade is expected to be complete in November 2019. However, contractors seem to be a little ahead of schedule. The final promenade will run from the current passenger Terminal to right to Blue Lagoon. It was amazing to see the young women professionals' involvement in the project. Durban will be known soon by the Point Waterfront Development. #durbanpoint #uemsunrise #womeninplanning #wipsa

Since the Point promenade was upgraded late in 2019, it has attracted more visitors than ever before. If you're just taking a walk or a run, this new area really completes Durban's lengthly and beautiful promenade. If you're going to the beach, this new section is perfect for families, as the sea water is shallow, and waves are generally small. There are also amazing new change rooms with showers, and the ablution facilities are very clean and well maintained. Visible security on and off the beach area is also a great service.
