Nice to see cable car in Cork County

Great experience only sorry we didn't have more time to spend on the island. Well worth the drive to it and fabulous walk on the island.
Great experience for kids. Allow yourself about 4 hours on the island to make it to the end
Wonderful
What a fun experience!
Such a unique experience
Lovely old cable car, that despite heavy crosswinds gives a very steady ride. Return tickets for adults are 10 euros and for kids five. Once on Dursey Island you can do a short, medium, medium plus or long loopwalk, depending on what you feel up to. You can do the hard bit first (through the hills) by going right at the exit of the cable car. Or you can choose to start on the easy but (gravel road) by going straight on the road at the exit of the cable car. The island is mostly occupied by sheep and in lambing season its a haven of cuteness. There are several spots on the looptrail (hill or northside whatever you want to call it) where you can see the ocean on both sides.
Absolutely disastrous. We arrived at the cable car after a prolonged drive which was expected. As we arrived we bantered to ourselves about the appearance of the cable car as it looked rusted and to believe that it’s only just 12 years old is laughable. To put shortly an utter waste of time and money for an experience which can leave u with hypothermia and a cold pair of Genitals as there is probably a 90% chance you will get soaked at the completely shelterless area of Dursey as you can expect wild Atlantic rain to ruin the already miserable experience. You might think “that’s not so bad” I’ll just bring a raincoat and check the forecast, that won’t change the fact that this place is completely overpriced at 10 for an adult just to wait for a shabby cart for over an half and hour to go over to a deceiving Dursey
