We signed up for Mountain Health CO-OP insurance one year ago with high hopes that it was our best option. We reviewed the prescriptions they said they covered and based on that issue alone, went with their plan. When we got to the pharmacy to pick up the prescriptions they said they covered, we found that Mountain Health requires us to jump through numerous hoops before they will cover the medicine. This included extensive procedures and expensive "TESTS" that they didn't pay for. In short, we feel we were the victims of a bait and switch scheme where they said they covered specific medicines but really didn't cover them at all - at least in any practical way. We left Blue Cross last year to go with Mountain Health but have regretted the decision all year. For 2021 we have gone back to Blue Cross so we will have the access to the meds our doctor has prescribed and thankfully we're done jumping through hoops for coverage through Mountain Health!

Positive experience signing our team up with the CO-OP. Feels good to be member owned and based in the Rocky Mountain West. Would recommend to anyone. Not sure where everyone else is calling, but I've had very responsive support in any questions I have.
This insurance company is so hard to deal with, no representatives seem to be able to help you, seems like you just get transfered around and not one person knows what they're doing. My prescriptions are not being covered its a joke. Read the fine print because this is worst insurance I've ever had.
My wife and I enrolled with Mountain Health Co-Op through Your Health Idaho. Initially they we fine to work with. I then had an issue with Idaho Department of Health and Welfare about my ATP for my premiums that was not their fault. At first their Member Service Team was helpful and recommended an appeal with Your Health Idaho. It turns out that was the wrong move and the appeal was denied. I called back to the Member Service Team and it felt like the representative had no interest in helping or resolving the issue. I asked to speak to a supervisor to gain some additional help. Here I am waiting over 45 minutes on hold and then I was transferred to a survey instead of the supervisor. It seems like they do not care. I would recommend looking into other options for your insurance needs - and NO Mountain Health - I am not interested in contacting your less than helpful Member Service Team.
I've never been more pleased with an insurance group. This company isn't in it to make a profit, they offer great plans for decent prices and follow through on what they promise. What a blessing to find them! Customer service is always caring and supportive, problem-solvers who know their stuff and want to help. I couldn't be more impressed.
I personally know one of the top managers of this insurance company. All who have or are considering getting this insurance plan are absolutely guaranteed the most caring, considerate, cost effective, and dedicated management of all their health care insurance needs. The manager I know always thinks FIRST of how this insurance provider will BEST take care of you & your family exactly as if you/they were a member of her own family. If you don’t already have a Mountain Health co-op plan, I URGE you to at least contact them to instantly get that genuine sense of “We CARE” about you & family. Mountain Health will treat you as one of their own family, placing YOUR most pressing health insurance needs at the top of their priorities.
I would like to comment on the excellent care this insurance has. They are very passionate about providing the best, most affordable insurance to there customers!! There team works in our behalf to provide the best service possible! Keep up the great work!
I have never heard of an insurance company that takes their monthly payment but when it comes to paying for the inexpensive prescriptions and procedures they are in willing to pay or take well past the allotted time to take care of their customers. I do not recommend them. They have injured friends and family by not standing by them. There are other companies, please do your research before you choose this company.
