Hands down my FAVORITE New Mexico State Park! Well worth the drive from Albuquerque. The views speak for themselves providing a 360 degree spectacular sight, day and night. The Park Rangers are incredibly helpful and kind.

Nice lake for fishing but they gave my Veteran son a hard time about having an out of state license when he recently discharged from the Air Force and moved back to his home state. They wouldn't let him in the lake! Ridiculous. His NM license expired while he was stationed in another state. The younger kids caught some nice fish. We rented a pontoon boat and had a good time.

Cool sights, feel out of this world. Lake was still frozen at end of March. Very windy.
