I was told at least twice, maybe three times, that my father would be accepted at RCA Bracebridge Hall in Earleville, MD on January 8, 2021 even though he has a boot on his foot and was utilizing a walker. However, after driving two hours, we were turned away without anyone even assessing my father’s mobility. We requested that someone meet us with a wheelchair to get him inside since it was the first day he was using the walker, it was 7:45pm and he was exhausted, it was dark, and it was an unfamiliar location. It seems as though based on that wheelchair request alone, the medical director decided they would not accept him without even talking to him or assessing his ability to get around. The two nurses who came out to tell us of his rejection offered no apologies, simply pointing the finger at the call center and were entirely unwilling to help us and claimed that they did not have a direct line to call ahead to the Capital Region facility in Waldorf, MD and ensure that we would not again be turned away. And yet, when we arrived at the Capital Region facility, they said they had received a call from Bracebridge Hall. My infuriation cannot be overstated. I can’t even begin to imagine how defeated my father must have felt, trying to get help for his alcohol addiction for the very first time in his life.

The clinical staff at Bracebridge Hall are among the most experienced in addiction treatment in Maryland. The facility is amazing... there is really no other drug rehab center like it.

Disgusted at the administration level. The residential staff is great here BUT I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE WITH A JOB TO COME HERE. They will NOT sign return to work papers. Currently in position to lose my job because RCA ADMINISTRATION won’t sign my return to work papers. I’m being told from multiple people this is a document that has never and will never be signed. Disgusted. Thanks for nothing. Don’t come here if your job requires return to work papers.

This place is amazing! It saved my life! I'm so grateful for the entire staff, from the RSS staff, to the food staff, to the nurses and therapists. Everyone there is so helpful and caring. This place is so comfortable. The food is great and the beds very comfortable. I cant say enough good things about this place. Anyone looking for a rehab option should definitely consider RCA Bracebridge Hall.
