Ms.Leslie is the best! She really is invested in the kids lives and and education. She's the reason why I chose this location. I also liked it because it was black owned and operated.

Disorganized, unprofessional, and complete and utter chaos. The owner is an extremely pretentious woman who prides herself in a daycare that is completely in shambles. A typical day includes, being out of ratio (12 infants for one teacher when you should have 5 max by law. Check ChildCareCenter.us and you'll see they're constantly docked for breaking ratio mandates), having to leave the classroom to answer the door, children hopping from room to room (you won't even know their names half the time because there are so many and if one child gets COVID-19 the whole daycare will), children running out of their classrooms and into yours, and staying WAYY after your scheduled time. They require you pay for mandatory things such as your uniform (30 per shirt. You have to buy a new uniform every 6 months), and your certifications/trainings. They offer no benefits beyond those that are required for businesses to have by law (Healthcare, and Dental). PTO is only given to lead teachers, and getting a day off is impossible. They will force you to stay working, even in the case of an emergency (death of a family memeber, medical emergency, etc). They DO NOT care about their employees, and WILL NOT CARE ABOUT YOU TOO- you won't be an exeption. Most of the teachers there are miserable; the turnover rate is insane. Instead of addressing the issues that their workers present them, they lie and pretend they aren't there. They bad mouth anyone who has legitimate complaints about how it is ran, and are spiteful and disgusting people. I'm surprised any parent trusts allowing their child to spend even a second in this disaster of a daycare. If you value your sanity, reputation, worth, and the well-being of children, DON'T WORK HERE!

Early Steps is really lucky to have Mrs. Catherine. She truly goes above and beyond for parents and even though you can see her doing 20 things at once, she still manages to keep a smile on her face. Also, Early Steps is lucky to have Ms. Lisa the teacher for the toddler class. She seems to really enjoy the kids. I hope that Early Steps offer a raise or some type of incentive for the good workers in order to keep them there. These teachers are the faces of your business and I'm really upset that they lost Mrs Carmen and Ms Jasmine. Please do what you can in order to keep Catherine and Lisa there. A satisfied parent

Idk about the oldest kids but my infant goes to to daycare and they don’t care at all it’s stories after stories with them and one time my wife picked up our child and was crying okay seems normal but milk going down her neck and the daycare lady prepping a bottle with blankets and a Boucher isn’t cool at all, an INFANT meaning only 3 months smh taking her out ASAP
