Really tasty. I've only had stuff off the lunch menu, and a couple of croissants, but the sandwiches and pizza are awesome. It's definitely a standout for me amongst Alton cuisine.

My breakfast burrito was quite good. The scone was a tad dry, but the flavor was spot-on. Even better than the food is the atmosphere. A very unassuming place tucked into a small shopping center with a few small tables, reminiscent of something you might find in Europe or a busy US city street. Everyone I came into contact with was very friendly, including the other patrons! If they're indicative of the regular clientele, plan on spending an hour, sipping some coffee and enjoying the conversation. I'll definitely be back!
Stopped by First Stop after hearing wonderful things about their food. I picked up a apple turnover, 2 of the amazing lemon glazed blueberry muffins and a raspberry chocolate mousse. The owners were warm and inviting and the space followed in suit. Rich smells of savory and sweet filled the shop and made it difficult to not buy everything on display. 10/10 we will be returning.
Ate there once and it was delicious. I have attempted 3x to get food from there, but everytime I try to order food they are out of anything I want. And the lady is very unprofessional. And rude.
This place has great pastries & seriously the best biscuits & gravy on the planet. I recently bought a quiche to take to a meeting & EVERYONE raved. Fast & friendly service too. You cant go wrong here
Picked up a key lime and banana cream pie for a family get together and people couldn't stop talking about them. Both pies were perfect and I can't wait to go back.
Fantastic cinnamon rolls! Get there early to make sure you get what you want cuz when they are gone, they are all done.
Remembering how much I liked to go to get home made pies. Also all the quiche they made. The owners always helped you choose the best baked items. Miss them; am in assisted living now in Bethalto . Margaret Seaton
