A beautiful, quiet county station on the Bluebell vintage steam railway. With friendly station staff. Maintained by the volunteer Friends of Kingscote Station to British Rail Southern 1950’s era. A good place for photographers. Lovely long flower borders on both platforms. Now in 2018 has a new recreation area with swings, slide etc. for young children, and a very large picnic area with picnic tables and tea & ice cream kiosk. Has a small collection of goods wagons in the goods yard. Has plans to transform the goods yard into an educational area with an extra siding and crane etc. Best mobile phone signal is on Vodaphone. Unfortunately no car parking due to planning restrictions. Get there by bike, walking, taxi or Bluebell steam train ride from East Grinstead mainline station, Horsted Keynes Stn and Sheffield Park Stn.
