This preserve is a bit of a hidden gem. The entrance is on a small sign on a narrow road near a few houses. There is a gravel parking lot with space for about 6-8 cars and one picnic table in the shade. A couple of well maintained trails with bridges and lookouts go through the woods and meadows, across small creeks. The trails were quite easy terrain. Not far into the woods, there is a kids' play area with stumps and a thatched fort. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and only ran into 6 other people at any point on the trail. One note - if you need to use the facilities, you'll be doing it in nature.

Beautiful quiet 3 mile hike with woods, meadows, wetlands and a creek. Saw no other people the whole time.

Beautiful little hidden gem. Went on a Sunday and we were the only ones there the whole time. It is pet friendly and my dog loved the trails and creek. Nicely shaded areas in the woods and also mowed paths through a beautiful meadow lined with wild blackberries and wildflowers. Wear thick shoes though and be very cautious especially with kids and pets as there are a lot of Honey Locust trees that have the huge gnarly thorns on them along certain areas in the path and I stepped on one- lodging it about half an inch deep into my foot. Just a part of hiking but still figured I'd give a warning, saw previous comments about ticks but myself, my boyfriend and dog didn't pick up a single one that day somehow. Will definitely go back :)

Great basic trails that go through a variety of habitats (pasture, wood, creek, wetlands). Good signage. Kids area was closed but looked like fun. No amenities. Good size parking lot. Benches on trail. Trail mostly shaded
