Useless. My mom got there at 6am. 17:00 people still sat outside, not assisted!

Everyone is so polite and helpful. I go there often, and yes it may seem full, but they have a good system in place that works well with the numbers like at the bank. All the staff work their fastest and hardest and I appreciate that. They have a huge influx daily, but don’t let that fool you. You walk in to the relevant queue (follow the markers on the floor) and applications are quite quick from the photographs, to capturing of info and paying at the cashier. Considering what they have to deal with, I take my hat off to everyone there. My passport arrived in a week too. Very happy. Don’t make their lives harder by constant, unfounded complaining. They are very efficient.

I have been to the dpt. Of HA at least 10 times to get my sons ID. I was always put off by all the queus. Well we went today and was pleasantly surprised. Yes there are lotsof people and from the outside it looks like chaos. BUT there is a system and it works... it is abit worrying to have so many people in one place with covoid being around...but on the whole it really was not such a bad experience after all. .. .

The people of that department are lazy and disorganized

Yes, there are queues, but there's a system in place that works. The staff are polite and good at what they do. An experience of a state entity that gives me hope.

No electricity today. Went twice to collect but problem of no electricity still continued. How is it possible from 11am to 4pm that a Department as Important as this has no solution to keep the computers on and attend to the citizens of SA!
