I have consulted with Donald several times over legal issues for my family and for myself and he has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the issues at hand. When my grandmother passed away, it was very unexpected and there were several financial issues and a concern about her estate. Donald gave me some good information that helped us take care of all of our issues and navigate through a very difficult issue. He always tells you like it is. He doesn't sugarcoat things and give you false hopes. I really appreciated that. Every time I have gone to him for a consultation, his information has been extremely helpful. Do not waste your time or money on this \attorney.\ We paid him a retainer over a month ago to start working on my fiance's case. Before we paid him he seemed great. He was very professional and seemed to have a game plan. Before paying him I felt very comfortable with his knowledge and communication. After paying him though everything went down hill. I would text or call him at least once a week to check in about updates on the case and he wouldn't respond. If he did respond he would say things like \I'm optimistic about...\ I figured he was working on the case. Last week, exactly 1 month after paying him and with court coming up this week, I decided I needed to push a little harder. He told my fiance he was waiting to hear from the State's Attorney, that was a lie. Finally he calls me back last Friday. By this time I had already spoken to the State's Attorney office, the circuit clerks office, and my fiance's public defender. NONE OF THEM KNEW THIS GUY WAS MY FIANCE'S LAWYER! He never entered himself on the case which takes a whole 5 minutes to do. When he calls last Friday he tries to dance around the subject of not working on this case saying \time had slipped away from him\ and \he hopes to have been further on this case.\ That's when I asked him flat out has he done ANYTHING or spoke to the State's Attorney. He said NO. He had a month to work on this and all he did was take our money and not doing ANYTHING. I requested a refund and of course didn't get a response until I threatened him that I would be filing a complaint with the ARDC. 2 days later he texts me saying he is going to try to get the check in the mail. I told him no I wanted the refund the exact same way I gave it to him, in cash. I picked up my refund yesterday but we should have never went through all of this. He is completely unprofessional. Do not trust him. Pay the larger retainer and get a good lawyer.

What a horrible experience this has been, during an obviously vulnerable time in my life. I had my “final” meeting before my documents were supposed to be submitted with Donald in JANUARY. As far as I knew, my case was submitted. He ignored my calls, messages and emails for over SIX MONTHS until I finally called his new law office. Only then did he reply, and he was not remorseful. I attempted again to schedule a meeting with him. Again I was ignored. I asked for a refund so I can find a new attorney and get this process done so I can move on with my life... he won’t do that either. What do you call a lawyer who won’t file your case or return your money? A thief.

If you want a straight shooting no nonsense attorney that will not sugar coat the facts, Donald is the attorney for you. In my experience with Donald, after he received all the necessary paperwork he went straight to work on the case. He was always prompt with his correspondence towards my case and very professional in handling matters with adjacent attorneys. I cannot count how many positive aspects this attorney possesses; ranging from his professionalism, organization skills, and the diligence he puts into the casework. Extremely satisfied with everything he has done for my case and I highly recommend him for an attorney.
