One of only 2 restaurants in Queensland (as per google and as of October 2020) that offer Laotian food (the other is in Brisbane). For those do not know, Laos is a lesser known country in South East Asia bordering Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar. Hence its cuisine has influences from all 4 countries. What I like about this place is that they make their food as authentic as possible and not try to modify it to suit perceived australian taste buds. The result? A packed restaurant with patrons of all ethnicities. Tasty, exotic, spicy and flavorful are just some of the adjectives that can be used to describe their food. You do however have to pay a premium for it. So if you find yourself craving something different and do not mind paying a little extra for good food, do give this place a try. You might just be pleasantly surprised. Four and a half out of five stars.

Very tasty food. I had the fish steamed in a banana leaf which was delicious. Cocktails also very nice. Only downside was that the AC was pumping so strong that I was freezing cold- so would recommend taking a jacket !
Personally I would give them more than 5 stars. I had the Basil fried rice and it was delicious. Their portions are so very generous. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant. But what differentiates them from other restaurants is due to the staff absolutely going above and beyond to accommodate us. Several times throughout the meal they would check up on us to see if we are enjoying ourselves. The owner, who also served us, noticed that my missus haven't really touched her food. We explained that she's got a slight migraine. Immediately the owner went and poured her a sparkling water with a wedge of lime. "It'll help you feel better," she said. We did not expect that at all. We later found out that the sparkling water was on the house. Once again, we did not expect such generosity. Their friendly service and just genuine kindness deserves my frequent return to dine. Oh, and book ahead because they're popular and would most likely be booked out. We got in because we promised to eat quickly.
PERFECT, we had a great night! Food was amazing!! We had about 12 different dishes to share between 8 people. Every plate was finished. I am a fussy eater, I can’t handle spicy food but I could eat everything they bought out! Staff very very happy and friendly. Love to go back soon.
Amazing authentic thai and laos food. The pineapple fried rice is a must try, well balanced flavors sitting on the sweet fresh pineapple. Digging the pineapple meat after the fried rice is always fun as well. The chicken sausage was also a pleasant surprise, the lemongrass flavors stands out with fresh garlic slices and cashews and starfruit to side with. Very possibly the best restaurant on our Townsville trip.
Thank you so much for having us Noi. Walking away with a full belly and a grin from ear to ear. The food was delicious. Lots of vegan options and the mojito was out of this world. I absolutely recommend eating here.
All I have to say is WOW.. this place is so amazing ,and the food taste just like home!
MY FIRST VISIT. The food and ambience was amazing! The menu is great and they have good vegetarian options. We loved the whole vibe of the place, the staff are lovely, welcoming and attentive. I have heavily recommended to my friends and family that they pay a visit. Did I mention the food was AMAZING? I give a 4 Star rating, only because we got asked to leave and didn't get the option to have dessert as a walk-in couple had arrived and requested a table. I know I could have said no but I'm a nice person so accepted the request. I strongly recommend you become a bookings only restaurant to avoid situations like this but in saying that I will be back in the future quite often as it was a minor inconvenience that I'm pleased to overlook.
