We’ve had two Fords from the Birchwood Group over the years, this reviewing is focusing on the latter which just came to the end of its financing agreement. We contacted Birchwood to ask for a refinancing quote, as the vehicles Ford Credit plan was coming up for renewal which we thought would be simple. On the phone call we were talked down to and made to feel like refinancing rather than buying a new car was the wrong option. The person we spoke to said that we shouldn’t refinance and that us buying a new car would be cheaper, even though we said we’d like to end up paying off the car and not paying further monthly payments, at some point in the future. They said they’d try to get a finance quote but we never heard back. On phoning a couple more times to different people, they knew we’d asked for a quote but no one had done it and we never heard back. So we financed through our bank and won’t entertain this dealer in future.

Following the covid-19 rules, screens and facemasks etc. Test drive without the rep an improvement but not detrimental to the dealership. Friendly and polite, helpful, they did try to offer 350 quid for gap insurance, but expected that. Rep seemed surprised when I said I could get it for just over a tonne. One thing stood out they didn't try to shove useless extras down your throat, and they paid attention to observations from the test drive. Wasn't an expensive car and there wasn't a huge profit for them in it but it was a fast turnaround and the wife loves it. Go back? Yes why not.

I always receive great customer service at Birchwood Sköda, Eastbourne. Definitely the best of the Birchwood branches, imho.

The Ford dealership do a good job on the cars but the customer service isn't great. They said my car would be 2 hours and when I turned up at the time specified to pick it up I waited a further hour without anyone coming up to me until a gent did ask for my name and went to check on it for me. But the car was fixed so a good result.
