Just visited after checking the tides timetable and I must say it's a worth visiting. There are many ways to go down but the easiest one is by stairs. There is a sandy beach after crossing 200 meters walk on the stones. Beautiful view of the lighthouse from the beach. Anyone can go further till the lighthouse if the tide is low. Just be alert about the rising water. It's an isolated beach, saw only 3 people down there. No mobile range (Vodafone).

Beautiful walk through the south downs, prams can be pushed up Holywell trail
Beach access down metal stairs. Check tide times before your trip, sea comes in very fast and will cut you off if you're not careful. Don't expect any facilities, so take a picnic.
A lovely place, in the heart of Sussex. Unspoiled beauty.
Spectacular cliffs and a scenic view of the Beachy Head lighthouse
The walk from Eastbourne to Cow Gap is long and through a lot of hills and green meadows . It takes around 1.30 minutes . The top cliff on Cow Gap has a stairs leading down to the beach . Beach itself is very stoney and wilde . You need to be careful for the tides to not stuck there when the water gets high again which can happen when you look for the fossils and forget about all the world around you . The views are beathtaking so make sure you have your camera
