We booked journeys to and from dinner. Both drivers were prompt and professional. Great Covid standards. We couldn’t use the app as we were out of the area but we have the app for the next time we’re in town.
Saw the mediocre reviews and thought there was little scope for problems in a 9-mile/15-min journey, but having been quoted 13.50, I was charged 16.20. Phoned to complain and was told the quote was only an estimate, but a 20% difference is inexcusable (and when it's exactly 20%, it gets you wondering). Given 1 star as the driver was on-time, polite and didn't get lost or crash, but frankly, that's the least I expect. The company has since replied to the above as you can see; the meter is an irrelevance because, despite what is claimed, I did not imply that the driver added 20% - I stated that there was a 20% disparity. So whilst the driver might not be able to inflate the fare, a controller can under-quote. Also, specific locations were given, traffic was minimal and there was no waiting time to speak of. And rather than speculate about what would or wouldn't have happened, check the recording first before you reply to see what actually happened. Or rather, don't bother, because one of your colleagues already did that when I called earlier this evening and had to acknowledge that I was quoted 13.50 and that I should have been told this is an estimate (presumably that can be 'off' by at least 20%). And as the young lady told me at the time of the booking that this \is the price on the screen\, then clearly it did equate to your 'system'. I'm sure it's true that the price I paid is the correct 'ball-park' for my journey - the point is that you shouldn't be quoting prices that aren't.

I used this taxi service from Eastbourne General Hospital to Bexhill, both the car and the driver were immaculate , the driver was friendly and helpful and carried my bag to the front door . A professional service which I would use again.
