Mel is a brilliant guitarist. Have seen her perform in a wide variety of settings, with different contemporaries and play all genres; always wow’d by her sound and versatility. She also has a rare talent of being able to help others shine. I took just a few lessons with her when I could but her encouragement & standard helped me break a mindset that I couldn’t learn a musical instrument. Along with my enthusiasm to keep learning and practising myself but calling on her when I need brushing -up, she’s opened up a new angle on a lifelong love of music.
