I have been with Metro Bank for about 3 years, and I must say that the interest rates are extremely good. As for the staff, they're welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend that you open an account with them because they have a no fee policy when you shop with your card abroad and within half an hour, you can get an account, a card and chequebook printed and ready to go! You can reassure yourself by reading that they're regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Please help Metro Bank by assisting them during this pandemic (as of this review) as they haven't had many customers entering. If you have already opened an account, you can you've made the right choice!

Went to open an account on a Saturday afternoon, Eastbourne branch... welcomed with smiles at the counter, I waited 5 mins to be seen which I was happy with as the branch was nicely decorated with comfortable seats. I was seen by a member of staff named Aleisha, she was fantastic, well spoken, clear, provided me with all the information I needed to make the right choice, she knew the range of products well. An absolute credit to the business, give this lady a promotion. She even held the door for me on the way out. Winning.

We went today to the Metro bank in Eastbourne to open an account for our son. Our son has special needs and was made very welcome and relaxed. The bank is quiet and has soft lighting which makes it perfect for anyone who is Autistic. Our son was given a moneybox and a bag with pens. The staff are excellent.

We went into Metro today to talk about the possibility of opening a bank as we are dissatisfied with our current bank provider. Wow!!! What a breath of fresh air this bank is. In under half and hour we walked out with a bank account and card printed and all ready to go! Spencer the guy who looked after us made our two young children relaxed and comfortable so they were not bored while we talked shop. He went the extra mile giving Them coins to show them how the magic money machine worked. Gave them a prize for guessing the amount. Colouring books and crayons even gave them the option to take a treat for their dog. The children are very excited to be opening an account too and can’t wait to use the magic machine to manage their own moneys. A superb experience just not what we was expecting from a bank and an added bonus they open 7 days aweek including bank holidays. Well done metro you are all about customer service and have gained another 4 customers. Plus everyone we will be telling about you hopefully. Can’t wait to start banking properly with you. Massive thumbs up to Spencer!
