We purchased a sofa with oak furniture land which totaled over 1500 not only did they miss sell the sofa after 2 phone calls where we questioned the description when it was delivered it was damaged and they had to send out a replacement part for me to fix it myself. They sent out extra furniture which we have had to fight for them to take back (as we have no space for it) they have messed up the collection date saying that we would have store this in our house during the Christmas period when we are hosting Christmas. They have no complaints department and a shoddy company I will never order with them again and would recommend you stay away.

Ordered a coffee table and had to pay 50 delivery charge to tie in with work schedule, added a lamp table to the order, which made the delivery charge less painful. After 10 days the delivery arrived, but no coffee table. It is rescheduled in a months time. Great products but terrible service.

Eight weeks ago my mother took delivery of her order, she is still waiting for the feet for her sofa, despite numerous calls to head office, popping into the store. Absolutely appalling service. The wrong mattress was delivered, that has now been rectified. The free accessory offer, the mirror was not in stock, had to chase that, stock had arrived but not allocated to the order.

I recently purchased some lovely furniture from Oakland Furniture. Among my order, which was via the internet, was a dining room table. The table has grooves on its surface. Initially I did not think this was a problem, but after some time and pedantic cleaning after every meal, I have noticed that the grooves becomes a trap for crumbs. I therefore, disappointingly believe this ultimately to be a poorly designed table with the manufacturer having little insight into the practicality of family life. When I finally made contact with Oakland Furniture customer care requesting assistance with this problem, thinking they could perhaps fill the grooves with a wood filler or replace the table surface with a groove less surface: they said there is nothing they can do and suggested I cover the wood surface with a tablecloth at mealtimes. I thought this a rather nearsighted solution since I chose the company and product for the quality of the wood. I wonder if anyone else is as annoyed by this product as I am?
